For more than 30 years, Mafo has been designing and constructing industrial washing machines, blow-off units and dryers in stainless steel.
The extensive experience gained in all these years is expressed in the solutions that Mafo has realized in every market sector worldwide.
On this page, you will find an overview of our products.
Modular
Mafo tunnel-style machines are constructed from a number of modules, including washing machines, blow-off units and dryers which can be coupled. Because of this, Mafo is able to find the right solution for your cleaning problems.
The base of the module system is the washing machine. There are three base modules: the Mafo 170M, the Mafo 230M and the Mafo 340M. The last two modules can each be used as a stand-alone washing machine. The Mafo 170M is only used in combination as a pre-rinse or as a final circulated rinse zone. By combining the modules, higher capacities can be achieved.
Furthermore, the module system also includes blow-off units: the Mafo 190MA and the Mafo 370MA. In these modules, the water is blown off the products by means of cold air. Air knives are positioned around the product, and each is blown off multiple times.
For the last step in the cleaning process, Mafo has developed dryers (Mafo 280MD and Mafo 380MD) in which, hot air is circulated to evaporate the remaining moisture. The dryers use either steam or electrical power.
Conveyor systems
Different conveyor systems, including stainless steel chains and mesh belts, can be installed in various ways.
Filtration
Many forms of filtration can be fitted, including horizontal filter trays, vertical screens, cascade wedge-wire or rotating drum filters. If required or requested, bag filters or ultra filtration units can be installed.
Tank heating
Several methods of heating such as electric immersion, live steam injection, steam or hot water heat exchanger coils, can be adapted to meet your custom needs.
Hold-down and side-guide systems
For best performance with widely differing heights and widths, a hold-down and/or side-guide system can be provided in several ways. There are also options available for easy adjustment of these systems from the outside of the machine.
Automatic (de-) stacking
With a semi-automatic de-stacker, tray stacks of up to 2 meters high, are manually loaded on a conveyor belt preceding the de-stacker. Depending on capacity requirements, de-stacking on the feeding-side and stacking on the exit-side of the washing machine takes place in single or multi-lane configuration. With automatic de-stacking, the tray stacks are fetched directly from the pallet. On the exit side, the tray stacks automatically are loaded on a pallet again.
